Christmas CareThe
Christmas Care project will be running from 2 pm Christmas Eve
(Wednesday 24th December) to Sunday 28th
December at Queen's Park Methodist Church.
They are appealing for volunteers to help prepare and run the

Swindon Community Safety Partnership are holding a public meeting
on Wednesday 28th January 2009, for residents of Swindon
to have their say on issues that are important to their local
communities.

The Reach Inclusive Arts 2008 AGM will take place on
Tuesday 13th January 2009 from 4.30pm to 6.00 pm,
in the Lower Foyer of The Wyvern Theatre, Swindon (a fully
accessible location near the Town Hall).
There will be opportunities to share our work with Project
Reviews from Members, Film Screening and Live Performance.

Wiltshire Law Centre
AGM is being held on Wednesday 19th November
2008, at the Central Community Centre, Swindon from 12.30pm
with refreshments and a sandwich lunch, and should finish no
later than 2pm.
The guest speaker will be
Julie Bishop, Director of the Law Centres Federation.
Julie will discuss the
changes to Legal Aid that were implemented 12 months ago and
the impact on Law Centres.

Community Learning Courses provided by Swindon WEA are now
booking. These are available free to people on income related
benefits and to 16-18 year olds, and are only £4 per hour of the
course for those who have to pay fees.
Courses are
available to everyone in the community aged 16 and above.

Indian Head massage
The National Bullying Helpline
are currently
seeking volunteers for their office and would like to offer work
experience to either individuals seeking work or students who would
like clerical office experience. The charity will be happy to offer
volunteers this experience on a weekly, monthly or daily basis.
The work entails; Answering the telephone, filing, data entry,
sending out information via e-mails, filling in forms, typing
letters, handling sensitive information and signing a
confidential agreement.
In
return volunteers will gain experience in using the ACT
database, Microsoft packages, (Word, Excel, and Outlook), they
will be introduced to the workings of the grievance processes
within Human Resources, and learn a minute amount of employment
law.
Once the work experience is completed, we will be willing to
supply a reference for the volunteers, this we hope, will help
them gain employment.
